Taking the First Step
Seeking support can be an important step towards understanding your experiences, improving your wellbeing, and navigating life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
At Mind Sanctuary, I recognise that reaching out for support can feel daunting. My aim is to provide a welcoming, respectful and non-judgemental environment where you feel comfortable discussing the issues that matter most to you.
What to Expect
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin developing an understanding of what has brought you to therapy.
We will explore your current concerns, relevant life experiences, personal strengths and goals for therapy. Together, we will discuss how we can work collaboratively to support your wellbeing and help you work towards positive and meaningful change.
Every person is unique, and therapy is tailored to your individual needs, circumstances and preferences.
Appointments
Appointments are available for adults aged 18 years and over and can be conducted:
• In person
• Via secure Telehealth videoconferencing
• By telephone (where appropriate)
Telehealth appointments provide a flexible and accessible option for individuals who prefer to access support from the comfort of their own home or who are located in regional or remote areas.
Referrals
You do not need a referral to make an appointment.
However, if you wish to access Medicare rebates, you will require a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist.
Referrals may also be accepted through:
• Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plans
• Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
• ADF (BUPA)
• Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
• Private health insurance (where applicable)
• Self-referral
If you are unsure about the referral process, please get in touch and I will be happy to assist.
Fees and Rebates
Fees are payable at the time of your appointment.
Clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for psychological services. Medicare rebates can generally be processed at the time of payment.
Please contact Mind Sanctuary for current fee and rebate information.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. This allows the appointment time to be offered to another client who may be waiting for support.
Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur a cancellation fee.
Begin Your Journey
Taking the first step can feel difficult, but you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone.
Whether you are seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, women's wellbeing, relationship difficulties or personal growth, Mind Sanctuary offers a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences and work towards greater wellbeing.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
